You're stuck in the "secret research" phase.
You've Googled "how to buy an engagement ring." You've scrolled Reddit at 1am. You've stared at Pinterest boards that don't quite explain what you're looking at.
The problem isn't a lack of options. It's that you can't translate "they'd love something vintage but modern" into something a jeweler can actually build — and you can't ask the one person who'd know.
An engagement ring is
emotionally loaded
financially significant
socially visible
(usually) a once-in-a-lifetime purchase
Yet most people are expected to navigate it through
unfamiliar terminology
conflicting advice
overwhelming choice
and sales-driven environments
The result isn’t confidence - it’s hesitation.
The Ring Thing exists to change that.

Built by people, who've been through this

Hi, I'm Max!
The Ring Thing began with my own hesitation.
When I decided to propose, I realised I wasn’t struggling with design - I was struggling with responsibility.
The ring would carry meaning, memory, and permanence. And I had no framework for making that decision with a vast amount of overwhelming possibilities.

I didn’t want to be sold something.
I didn’t want to guess.
And I didn’t want to choose based on what looked impressive.

So I built a structure for myself - a way to translate their taste and our story into this beautiful, forged symbol.

The Ring Thing is simply that structure, made available to others.
As someone who understands how difficult this decision can feel - and how much calmer it becomes once it’s thought through properly.

Very happy to tell you: She said yes :)
